How can I pay for my ticket?
Tickets can be bought from the Gulf Air website with payment by Credit Card or Debit Cards. Please note that only our customers in Bahrain have the option of paying for their tickets with Debit Cards carrying the GCCnet/Benefit logo.
Also, please note that if the cardholder is part of the travelling party, the Card used for payment shall be presented whenever requested. If the cardholder is not part of the travelling party, Gulf Air reserves the right to ask the cardholder or traveller to provide supplementary data at a Gulf Air office, such as the Card used for the purchase with proof of identification for acceptance and signature of the amount charged. What Credit/Debit Cards can I use to book online?
Gulf Air accepts Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Diners Club, UATP, American Express.
Customers in Bahrain have the option of paying for their tickets with debit cards carrying Benefit logo.
Is it safe to use my credit card when I make an online payment?
Credit Card details are held in a secured environment and transferred through an internationally accepted security system called SSL to encrypt all credit card payments over the web. Gulf Air makes every effort to maintain customer confidentiality, Gulf Air uses Digital Security by Entrust, Verified by Visa and Master SecureCode (collectively known as 3-D Secure) to prevent unauthorized and unlawful processing of personal data.
During the payment process I was paying for the ticket and then I was sent to another website. Why is that?
To be as secure as possible and protect our customers against fraudulent transactions we feature a technology called 3-D Secure from VISA and MasterCard to validate credit cards with a PIN. The check takes place in a page provided by your bank for even greater security. Once your card has been validated, you are routed back to us for a confirmation of your purchase.
Why has my credit card been rejected?
We accept nearly all credit cards, although occasionally, due to our high-security standards online, some credit cards may be rejected. This is done only to protect our customers. Please check that you have filled in all the correct card information. If you are still unable to book, please try with a different card. Should the latter fail to make a booking, please contact Gulf Air Web Support.
Do you charge any service fees or any credit card fees when I buy online?
No, we do not apply any additional fees.
I clicked the “book now” button and nothing happened. Is my flight confirmed?
If you believe that the transaction has taken place but the connection was broken and you did not get a confirmation email, please contact our Web Support and we will provide you with your booking details. Please make sure to provide us with enough details to allocate your booking.
The Worldwide Contact Centre price is more expensive than the internet price. Why?
Our Worldwide Contact Centre charge an additional fee of 4 Bahraini Dinars (or equivalent in our other currencies) per ticket as a service fee.
Do I have to pay at the same time that I book the ticket online?
It is recommended to finalise the payment at the same time. However, you have the option to pay through Manage My Booking within 24 hours of the booking time; if the selected flights are after 7 days and the fare family is Economy Friendly, Economy Freedom, Falcon Gold Basic, Falcon Gold Freedom or Falcon Gold Freedom. Please note that the price is not guaranteed until the payment is finalised.
I have been charged for a flight but I have not received any ticket. Why?
Please contact our Web Support and we will provide you with your booking details. Please make sure to provide us with enough details such as the passenger first name, last name, flight details and last 4 digits of the credit card to allocate your booking.
Where can I obtain an invoice for my booked tickets?
The email you receive from us at the time of booking is an invoice.
How can I receive a duplicate confirmation email?
Please visit the "Manage My Bookings" section of the Gulf Air website.
How can I claim a refund for my ticket?
I have been charged twice for my online booking. How is that possible?
Please contact our Web Support and provide us with the booking reference and last 4 digits of the credit card to investigate the case.
The price you have quoted me and the price that the bank has charged me are slightly different. Why is that?
We only charge the amount you see in the confirmation page and in the currency we have indicated. Occasionally, some banks have extra charges for using your credit card in a currency different than the one in which it is issued. Other bank imposed charges may be applicable. We suggest that you contact your bank and ask for their assistance.
Can my parents/spouse purchase a ticket for me even if they will not be travelling with me?
